We were SO excited last Friday afternoon to start our crochet weekend.
The weekend was arranged by Elaine and Stephni of I Love Yarn, for 21 enthusiastic crocheters and knitters in Cullinan, a small mining town not far from Pretoria (where I stay).
We started crocheting and knitting immediately, under a huge, old Jacaranda tree.
Anisa, Elsbeth and I contributed to the lovely gift bags each one of us received, by making up a crochet needle roll and a 2015 calendar for everyone.
The set (needle roll + calendar) is available to order for R180 excluding postage. Just drop me a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or CLICK HERE.
One of the highlights in visiting Cullinan was Rust in White, an antique shop specializing in enamelware and crocheted goodies.
I even spotted some mini flag crocheted bunting. I wrote this pattern for Ideas Magazine December 2010.
Another MUST VISIT is the restaurant, As Greek As It Gets. This is where we had dinner on Saturday night.
I loved spending time with old and new friends, crocheting, and can’t wait for the next one.
Please contact Elaine van Wyk of I Love Yarn HERE if you’d like to join us for the next crochet weekend.
